This is a project about the act of collecting images in series, as a way to search and
define the concept of home in a foreign country (as I started it when I moved to the Netherlands for my studies).

I collected images from magazines, fliers and other sources around me and created a collage to put together an imaginary tableau of the house I found myself needing
to search in an other country. I tried to use the images to mediate visually between my expectations of moving to a different country, of creating a and inhabiting a house and of studying at university. These images became a means of research and speculative work.

After doing this I worked with my own photographs to compare this fantastical world with my lived reality, inspired by a work by Clarissa Pinkola Estés and by my search for an affordable duvet, I created a blanket with my images,defining and creating the space that surrounds me and protects me, like a blanket.

The two pieces connect with each other and try to communicate, in the middle there is the research for... something, that motivated me when I started working.
